Go Fish Clothing & Jewelry Company on Saint Simons Island, Georgia is the flagship Go Fish store. Established in 1998, it was first owned by Curt and Barbara Coleman who later began licensing others to operate Go Fish stores around the southeast and beyond. In 2003 the Saint Simons Go Fish was purchased by Charlotte & Troy Hull, and Marilyn & Barry Turner. The Hulls and Turners have been friends for many years, with their children growing up together, and with many special occasions, meals, and even vacations spent together. Saint Simons was always a special place to visit for the two families, and when the Hulls were transferred to the Glynn County area with Troy’s work, what had been a place to visit became home for the Hulls. With a vacation home on Saint Simons, the Turners now find a visit to the island not only offers a chance to visit one of their favorite places, but a chance to visit their good friends the Hulls, who now live on Saint Simons.
Both families always found the Go Fish in the Saint Simons pier village to be their favorite store when visiting the island. When it became available for purchase, the families created a business partnership and became owners of their favorite store! With Charlotte Hull as manager of the operation, the philosophy and dedication to customer service at Go Fish is carried on with a great group of dedicated staff members.
A long tradition of providing great merchandise, great service, great prices and a friendly greeting and smile, are still present at Go Fish Saint Simons. With two families of enthusiastic owners behind the business, many years of dedicated service are projected. The corporate name for the Hulls' and Turners' business is Griswald Enterprises of Saint Simons, Inc. — a tribute to the many vacations the two families have enjoyed through the years. The name is reminiscent of the movie about a family trekking across country together on vacation—and the Hulls and Turners collectively became the "Griswalds" during their years of vacationing together, thus the corporate name. The name, though, also represents the ideals of togetherness, adventure, and love of God and one another in which the families believe. Those same ideals can be found in the Go Fish on Saint Simons Island, Georgia. Visit us and let Go Fish become part of your own adventure!
